Susan Newswanger, NP, is a nurse practitioner at Beebe Healthcare. She provides health and wellness support for students at Sussex Tech High School Wellness Center, offering sports physicals, sick visits, immunizations, and reproductive health services.
 

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner.

Earlier Work Experiences
Passionate about providing care for adolescents, Susan has worked in school-based wellness centers for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Beebe, she worked as a nurse practitioner at Christiana Care/Glasgow School-Based Health Center for over a decade, delivering care to students, offering patient and family wellness education, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the wellness center. Previously, she worked as a nurse practitioner at the Christiana Care Urgent Care Center, as well as with several school-based wellness programs including the Children’s and Families First Adolescent Resource Center, William Penn, and the Mt. Pleasant School Wellness Center.

Personal Interests
Susan and her husband have four children. They are looking forward to being empty nesters and enjoying all that life has to offer, as residents of Lewes.
