Zaid S. Ahmad Amin, MD

Zaid Amin, MD, is an Interventional Cardiologist who practices at the Beebe Cardiovascular Institute. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart and vascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, heart failure, valvular and peripheral vascular disease, and acute coronary syndromes. Dr. Amin performs sophisticated coronary and peripheral interventions including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, advanced intracoronary imaging, and coronary physiology. He is committed to providing the latest, most advanced procedures to help patients manage and improve their coronary and vascular medical conditions, with focus on optimizing both long-term clinical outcomes as well as quality of life for his patients. Additionally, Dr. Amin consults with patients who are at high-risk for coronary and vascular diseases, offering care and guidance for those whose goal is prevention.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Dr. Amin earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan. His post-graduate training included two internal medicine residencies; the first at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan and the second at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey, where he also remained to complete a cardiology fellowship and was named Chief Fellow. Dr. Amin is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, he is certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the Board of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography, and the National Board of Echocardiography.

Earlier Work Experiences

While pursuing his medical degree and training, Dr. Amin was active in the clinical research environment. He facilitated and participate in a number of projects geared toward advancing and improving cardiovascular care approaches and patient outcomes.

Personal Notes

Outside of work, Dr. Amin enjoys spending quality time with his wife (also a physician at Beebe Healthcare) and family. He loves visiting the local beaches, spending time outdoors, playing soccer, and traveling. In addition to English, Dr. Amin also speaks Arabic.
