The 19th Annual Jean & Joan Charity Golf Classic happens on September 24

The Jean & Joan Fund, supported by the Jean & Joan Charity Golf Classic, donates funds for the purchase of patient transport vans for Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center. Its mission is to raise funds for equipment and patient services at the cancer center located in

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The Jean & Joan Cancer Fund was founded in 1999 and named after two Kings Creek members who received spiritual and emotional assistance from extended family and friends during their cancer treatment at Tunnell Cancer Center. This emotional experience inspired the founding members to create a fund to help those patients who do not have this kind of care and support.

“The Jean and Joan Fund is dedicated to supporting the needs of Sussex County cancer patients as they go through their treatments. This annual event is supported by local businesses and individuals, helping to make a difference in cancer patients’ lives while going through a very difficult time. We are very appreciative of the ongoing support received from the local community; with their support, since 2000 the Jean & Joan Fund has donated over $500,000 for patient services at Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center,” said Vicki Tull, chairwoman of the Jean & Joan Fund.
