Wellness For All

With the end of February approaching, New Year’s resolutions are already just a memory for many. Among the most popular resolutions are commitments to health and wellness – to get back into an exercise routine, to eat better, and the like. Beebe’s Integrative Health and Population Health teams are here to support and empower our community members, no matter where they are in their wellness journey.

The Integrative Health and Population Health teams support Beebe in its charitable mission of making Sussex County one of the healthiest counties in the nation. Its programs support residents and visitors to our area whether they are well, looking to get better, or are living with a chronic condition.

Integrative Health provides education and skill building opportunities that focus on wellbeing for the whole person, with the goal of preventing illness and disease and managing chronic medical conditions, so that you can enjoy an optimum quality of life. Most of the Integrative Health classes and programs, are held at community locations such as the Lewes Public Library, with additional programs held at the Selbyville and South Coastal Libraries. They include a range of topics like mindfulness, detoxing through lifestyle choices, the power of connection, and many other self-care topics.

In addition, Beebe’s Population Health department also supports the mission by offering a range of free health screenings throughout the community, including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, body mass index, bone density, and memory testing.

Just as Beebe supports community members on their wellness journey, we also support our team members in being the best, healthiest version of themselves. Through a new employee wellbeing program, be WELL, Beebe is investing in its team members as we invest in the Next Generation of Care by offering a number of classes that help individuals prevent or manage chronic diseases, learn to eat healthy, improve their physical fitness (and have a little fun!) through exercise classes, and support individuals in living well. Many of these offerings are also available to members of the community, and will continue to evolve to meet the needs of team members, residents, and visitors.
