We evaluate each candidate holistically, considering all aspects of the application including board scores, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and relevant experiences. We seek individuals who are collaborative, motivated, and adaptable—traits essential for success in a transitional year program. Ideal candidates demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and professional growth and will positively contribute to our residency community and the broader health system.
Applications to our program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS). The residency participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Candidates will be selected and scheduled for interviews via ERAS/Thalamus only.
Application requirements are as follows:
U.S. Medical School Graduates
- Graduate of a LCME or COCA accredited medical school, preferring graduation within the last 2 years.
International Medical Graduates
- Preferred graduation within the last 2 years.
- Graduate of an accredited medical school.
- Certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
- At least six months of U.S. clinical experience.
- Beebe Healthcare will accept J1 visas only on a case-by-case basis.
