Beebe Healthcare Announces Board Officers, New Governance Structure
New Structure and Leadership Strengthen Systemwide Alignment and Direction
Beebe Healthcare, a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services in Sussex County, announced a new governance structure designed to support the organization’s long term strategic vision, accelerate agility, enhance accountability and position the health system for future growth.
Beebe is pleased to announce the election of Sara Larch as the new Chair of the Beebe Medical Center, Inc. Board of Directors. Cindy L. Szabo, Esq. was elected as new board member, to fill a vacancy.
“I am deeply honored to serve as the next Chair of the Beebe Board of Directors,” Larch said. “As only the second woman in Beebe’s history to assume the role of Board Chair, I take seriously the responsibility that comes with this position. Together with our talented leadership team, staff and board members, I look forward to building on our legacy of compassionate, high-quality care and driving positive change for our patients and families.”
Today, Beebe Medical Center, Inc., Beebe Medical Foundation, Inc., and Beebe Medical Group each operate with their own boards and bylaws. Under this revised structure, a newly formed Beebe Healthcare, Inc. Board of Directors will serve as the overarching governing body of these three existing Boards of Directors. Often referred to as the “Enterprise Board,” this board is also responsible for maintaining health system level strategy, system alignment and organizational accountability. Larch will also Chair this enterprise board for the healthcare system.
“With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and most recently serving as the Chair of the Governance Committee, Sara is well prepared to help lead Beebe as we continue to evolve and champion efforts that expand high-quality care to all Sussex County residents,” said David A. Tam, MD, MBA, CPHE, FACHE, President & CEO, Beebe Healthcare. “Her dedication to our community is unmatched and her deep understanding of rural healthcare will serve Sussex well as it grows at a rapid pace.”
