Cancer Taught Me: Margaret’s Story

I live a full and happy life by helping others and not dwelling on my cancer. Volunteering is very important to me. You will often find me at All Saints Thrift Shop, where I spend several days a week. Before I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, I used to run, lift weights, play tennis, and bicycle, which I miss most of all. You have to have a positive attitude and being around other people helps a great deal. Sitting still is not on my list. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, also my neighbors who are always ready to help, if needed. How lucky am I?!

Cancer Taught Me

Cancer Taught Me explores the stories of patients who received treatment at Beebe's Tunnell Cancer Center. The stories are in their own words.
