South Coastal Health Campus Rises on Route 17

Construction is moving forward at the new South Coastal Health Campus on Route 17 near Millville.

The new campus will include a freestanding emergency department and second cancer center to serve the South Coastal community.

In March, construction crews completed pouring the concrete foundations for the new building. The majority of the underground electrical and plumbing has also been installed.

Driving by the site, you can see steel beams starting to rise, making the outline of the new building more prominent.

In April, crews will continue to add steel to the building, will start to construct parking lots and interior roads and will complete the site’s stormwater management system. They will also complete concrete work which will form the walls and house the cancer center’s linear accelerator vault.
