Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing Senior Awarded Dr. Anis K. Saliba Scholarship
Ryan Clagett, a Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing senior student, was selected as this year’s recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Anis K. Saliba Scholarship. This year’s award of $1,000 will go toward school expenses. This endowment was initiated by Dr. Anis and Susan Saliba in 2017 and is awarded annually for the Fall Semester to a senior student in Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing.
Dr. Saliba joined the Medical Staff at Beebe Healthcare as a surgeon in 1968, joined the Beebe Medical Center Board of Directors in 1988, and served as Chief of Staff for many years before retiring as a private practice surgeon in 2003. He was an Honorary Member of the Medical Staff before his passing earlier this year.
Clagett, a resident of Wyoming, Delaware, was selected by the N102 team and then approved by the Student Services Committee. The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021, is accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and is a designated Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing (NLN). The Diploma in Professional Nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying graduates to be eligible for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to licensure as a registered nurse. Beebe graduates consistently have the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state.
Clagett was joined by Dr. Anis and Sue Saliba’s daughter and son, Dr. Nada Hart and Khalil, during the check presentation.
