A Welcome from our Director
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Beebe Medical Center.
As the founding Program Director, I am excited to introduce you to a residency built on the shared belief that investing in future pharmacists strengthens both our profession and the care we provide to our patients. We recognize that every resident enters training with unique interests, strengths, and aspirations. Our program is designed to be flexible while providing a well-rounded learning experience. Residents gain exposure to a variety of clinical practice areas, allowing them to explore their interests, build clinical confidence, and develop the skills needed to make a meaningful impact wherever their careers take them.
As part of the R. Randall Rollins Center for Medical Education, pharmacy residents grow alongside medical residents in a collaborative learning environment. Whether participating in interdisciplinary rounds, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, or engaging in shared educational experiences, our residents are valued members of the healthcare team. These opportunities foster strong communication skills, enhance patient care, and prepare residents for the interdisciplinary practice models that define modern healthcare.

What excites me most about our program is the genuine investment our pharmacy team makes in resident development. Our dedicated preceptors and mentors are committed to helping residents build clinical expertise, confidence, leadership skills, and professional resilience. We strive to create an environment where residents feel supported to ask questions, embrace challenges, and grow through meaningful patient care experiences.
