Beebe Medical Foundation is pleased to announce Erica English has been named recipient of the 2025 Radiology Advanced Practice Scholarship. This award is presented annually through a collaborative partnership between Beebe Medical Foundation and Southern Delaware Imaging Associates, recognizing a diagnostic imaging professional who is pursuing advanced education in radiologic sciences, healthcare administration, or education.

English is a Clinical Instructor in Beebe’s Diagnostic Imaging Department, where she is devoted to training X-ray technologists. She was promoted to this role after first serving as a Lead X-Ray Technologist at Beebe. English is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Administration with concentration on leadership and education.

“I am honored to be the recipient of this scholarship and am grateful for the opportunities I have had to advance my career in ways I never thought possible, with support from my employer,” said English. “I take great pride in teaching radiologic technology students and feel fortunate to work alongside many amazing clinical professionals.”

Leaders at Beebe greatly value the hospital’s partnership with Southern Delaware Imaging Associates, and the ways it supports clinical professionals who want to keep learning and growing professionally, in ways that ultimately impact the delivery of patient care.

“We are grateful for this contribution from our partners at Southern Delaware Imaging Associates, and the many ways it encourages the pursuit of lifelong learning at Beebe,” said Kay Young, Executive Director of Development at Beebe Medical Foundation. “Both organizations are mutually committed to promoting excellence in healthcare through professional development and lifelong learning.”

Kim Gardner, MD, Vice Chair of Beebe Diagnostic Imaging, stressed that English was the most deserving candidate of the 2025 scholarship, recognizing her ability to overcome challenges, balance personal and professional priorities, and serve as a role model for others.

“Erica is so deserving of this award. She has overcome many challenges to pursue her educational goals and advance in her career,” said Dr. Gardner. “Her motivation, hard work, and commitment to her department as well as community, are admirable. We are fortunate she landed in Diagnostic Imaging.”
