Proceeds from ‘Cast for a Cure’ Surf Fishing Tournament Benefit Local Cancer Patients Undergoing Treatment at Beebe

Once again this year, the “Cast for a Cure” Surf Fishing Tournament has generated funds that will ultimately benefit patients undergoing cancer treatment at Beebe Healthcare.

Tournament organizer Clark Evans recently presented a check in the amount of $9,000 to Beebe Medical Foundation, to support the hospital’s Cancer Patient Special Needs Fund. The fund supports local cancer patients with limited financial means, and aims to offset some of the costs associated with their living expenses.

The Cast for a Cure tournament is held annually at Fenwick Island State Park Beach.

Visit the Beebe Medical Foundation page for more information or to make a donation.
