Breastfeeding Support Group
First and Third Tuesday of each month
Join other breastfeeding mothers for an informal gathering of emotional support and encouragement. The group is free to join and is led by Beebe's internationally certified lactation consultants. Diabetes Support Group
Second Wednesday of Every Month from 3-4 p.m.
Diabetes Support Group meetings are held at Beebe Abessinio Health Campus, Specialty Surgical Hospital, 3rd floor conference room. The Specialty Surgical Hospital is located at 19161 Healthy Way, Rehoboth Beach. These informal meetings are both fun and informative, giving participants a chance to socialize with peers and share ideas on how to live well with Diabetes. Sessions are led by one of our Certified Diabetes Educators and topics change monthly. Interested participants can reach out to one of our educators by calling 302-645-3100, x73291 with any questions, concerns, or for more information. The support group is open to anyone diagnosed with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or who supports someone living with diabetes.
Diabetes Education
Beebe Diabetes Management and Medical Nutrition Therapy offers group and individual education and management services for people with diabetes. Diabetes educational group programs are offered several times a month at the Rehoboth Specialty Surgical Hospital on a rotating schedule. The education is provided for persons newly diagnosed and those who need a refresher course for managing their disease. The team also provides individual education sessions for specific needs, gestational diabetes and insulin pump education to assist people living with diabetes in disease management. Parkinson Disease Education & Caregiver's Discussions
Fourth Tuesday of each month
This group features discussions on experiences, problem-solving, self-management, resources, and education. The group meets at the Harbour Lights (Lewes) Cheer Center, 34211 Woods Edge Drive from 10 to 11 a.m. Parkinson Disease caregivers and in-home caregivers from agencies are welcome to share and learn. Parkinson's Education and Support of Sussex County
First Tuesday of every month
The Parkinson's Education and Support Group of Sussex County meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Lewes Library at 2 p.m. Speakers address issues relating to Parkinson's Disease, including aging in place and general interest topics. New member orientation is held every other Tuesday at RISE Gym in Rehoboth Beach at 11:30 a.m. starting January 13, 3026. Stroke Support Group - Beebe Partnership with Jefferson Health
Second Tuesday of each month
Jefferson Health Stroke Support Group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 2 p.m. via Zoom. First, download the Zoom app to your smartphone or computer. Then sign up for the Jefferson group via facebook.com/farberneuro and look under Upcoming Events. You can also email [email protected] for the information and link to the Zoom meeting. Or, click to register. The Jefferson stroke support group provides a safe space to connect with other stroke survivors and those caring for or living with a person who has experienced a stroke. The group is led by experts from the Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience and provides emotional and practical support. Patients, families and friends are all invited to attend free of charge. Each month there will be a brief presentation at the beginning of the meeting that focuses on a topic related to stroke.
Stroke Support Group - PAM Health Georgetown
Third Tuesday of each month
Please join our team of nurses, therapists, families and friends to provide support and information for post stroke recovery. On the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 3:30pm at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown, 22303 DuPont Blvd. Reservations recommended but Walk-ins are welcome. Please call 302-440-4866. Better Breathers Support Group
Third Wednesday of Each Month from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Lewes Public Library
A support group for those with pulmonary diseases. Information on pulmonary disease and treatments is presented by respiratory therapists, physicians, dietitians, and pharmacists. Attendees suggest topics to discuss. For information, call 302-645-3298.

Childbirth Education
This is an exciting time, but you might also feel anxious about the childbirth process. The Beebe Healthcare Women’s Health team is here for you. We want you to have the best birth experience possible, and we also want to provide you the information you need to know before coming to the Medical Center to give birth. Join us for our free childbirth education classes! During your pregnancy, our childbirth education classes for parents will help your prepare for the big day. And, when you come to Beebe to have your baby, you and your healthcare team will work together to create the best birthing experience for you! What better way is there to welcome your child into the world? Prenatal Breastfeeding
Join us for a free 2-hour breastfeeding class, taught by one of our board-certified lactation consultants. Many topics will be discussed, including the benefits of breastfeeding and importance of skin-to-skin contact, breast anatomy, recognizing feeding cues, positioning and latch techniques, how to tell if baby is getting enough milk, selecting a breast pump, returning to work, and what to expect when you deliver your baby at Beebe – a Baby-Friendly hospital. CPR

Diabetes
Beebe Diabetes Management offers educational and management services for people with diabetes. A diabetes self-management education series is presented at various days and times on a rotating basis. Individual sessions are available for specific needs. A new insulin pump education program designed to help people with diabetes better manage their disease also is available. National Diabetes Prevention Program
This evidence-based program provides free diabetes education, with a goal to reduce complications and illness associated with diabetes. It supports individuals, including Beebe team members, who meet criteria for participation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Chronic Conditions Self-Management Program
This program is offered in partnership with the Division of Public Health; this program focuses on skill-building, goal setting, and action planning to help people diagnosed with chronic health concerns manage their conditions while maintaining or improving their quality of life. Friends & Family CPR Courses
This program teaches the lifesaving skills of adults hands-only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for people of all ages. Healthy Heart Ambassador Program
In partnership with the Division of Public Health and the American Heart Association, this program delivers coaching and self-management resources to help those with high blood pressure make positive lifestyle changes and reduce their risk for heart disease.
