Beebe Congratulates Arin Kluchnik, RN, as Winner of DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence
Every month, Beebe Healthcare is proud to recognize an exceptional nurse through presentation of a DAISY Award. This program honors the extraordinary compassion, clinical skill, and dedication that nurses demonstrate in their day-to-day work, and the positive impact they have on patients and families. Arin Kluchnik, RN, from the hospital’s Non-Invasive Cardiology Department, was recently presented with the DAISY Award based on a nomination from the family member of a patient undergoing treatment for advanced cancer.
“Arin never pitied him or made him feel as though his diagnosis defined him,” wrote the grateful family member. “She treated him with dignity, respect, and compassion, and her bubbly personality and positive energy completely changed the atmosphere in the room. Having a nurse who made him feel heard, valued, and cared for meant more than I can put into words.”
Beebe is one of thousands of hospitals across the country and world that participates in the DAISY Award Program, part of the DAISY Foundation. The Foundation was founded in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away due to complications associated with an autoimmune disease. As his family reflected back on the exceptional care they had witnessed nurses providing, they launched the Foundation to give back, while also keeping the memory of their loved one alive.
Patients, family members, and staff are encouraged to nominate nurses who are deserving by visiting www.beebehealthcare.org/forms/daisy-award. Nominations are accepted on an ongoing basis and winners are selected on a monthly basis.
