Beebe Healthcare is once again unifying cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and supporters for its annual “Miracle Mile” event. The event will be held on Saturday, June 6, starting at 11 a.m., at Beebe’s Specialty Surgical Hospital, located on the Abessinio Health Campus in Rehoboth Beach. There is no cost to register and all members of the community are invited to take part.

The theme of this year’s Miracle Mile event is "Walk, Connect, Celebrate: A Celebration of Survivorship and Community." Following a brief welcome ceremony, attendees can participate in a one-mile walk and are then invited to enjoy lunch, generously donated by Hickman’s Meat Market. Members of Beebe’s Oncology team will provide information about resources for cancer patients and share details about local survivorship programs. Beebe’s Population Health team will be on-site offering free cancer screenings.

Each year, Miracle Mile supports replenishment of Beebe’s Cancer Patient Special Needs Fund; a program that provides financial assistance to cancer patients who are facing personal hardships and who may have difficulty paying for prescriptions, co-pays, medications, living expenses, and transportation.

To make a gift in support of this important fund, please visit our donation page and then select “Oncology Special Needs Fund.” Click here to register to participate in the Miracle Mile event.
