Beebe Medical Group Welcomes New Gastroenterology and Infectious Disease Providers

Beebe Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of two new specialty clinical providers who practice as part of Beebe Medical Group. Focused on the continued advancement of gastroenterology and infectious disease services, both providers are committed to delivering comprehensive, outcomes-based care for patients with a diverse range of medical needs.

Tiffany Edwards, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive care for adult patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal (GI) issues. In addition to caring for patients on an outpatient basis at Beebe Gastroenterology in Lewes, she also sees patients who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment of more complex issues.

Edwards is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a Doctor of Nursing practice degree. Additionally, she earned both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Wilmington University, along with a nursing diploma from Beebe’s Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing. Edwards is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Locally, she is a member of the Delaware Cancer Consortium Early Detection and Prevention Committee, and previously served as one of the co-chairs of the Sussex County Health Coalition Health Committee.

Edwards became a registered nurse in 2001 and advanced her career to become a nurse practitioner in 2009. Her initial experience as a nurse practitioner was in family practice at Cedar Tree Medical Center. Additionally, she worked as a nurse practitioner for Nanticoke Health Services, serving their school-based health clinic, and as an adjunct faculty member for Wilmington University’s nurse practitioner program. During that time, Edwards also worked intermittently at Beebe’s Walk-In Care clinics.

“I grew up in Sussex County and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, so this area has always been home to me,” Edwards said. “I am happy to now be raising her own family in the community that I love.”

Clare Holmes, PA-C, is a physician assistant who provides comprehensive, outpatient-based care for adults, with focus on the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

Holmes is a graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. There, she earned a Master of Science in physician assistant studies as well as a bachelor of science in medical studies. She is certified as a physician assistant and is licensed to practice in both Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Beebe Healthcare, Holmes worked for Infectious Disease Associates in Newark, where she was responsible for diagnosing and treating infectious diseases in both office and hospital settings, offering both in-person and virtual appointments. Earlier in her career, Holmes worked as a primary care provider in Pennsylvania.

“I am excited about the opportunity to be part of Beebe Healthcare, an organization that is well established and organized, but is also interested in growing, improving, and innovating,” said Holmes.

Both Edwards and Holmes are employed by Beebe Medical Group, which includes 20-plus specialty offices in more than 40 office locations throughout Sussex County. Practices include the specialties of: Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, General and Bariatric Surgery, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care, Pediatric Neurology, Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders, Surgical Oncology, Urology, and Women’s Healthcare. Four Walk-in Care Centers serve the community in Rehoboth Beach, Georgetown, Millsboro, and Millville from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
