Mark Facciolo, DO, FACS

Mark Facciolo, DO, is the Vice Chair of the Surgery Department and the Director of Beebe’s Robotic Surgery program. He sees patients at Beebe General Surgery office in Lewes, and provides care for many types of surgical needs, including hernia, cholecystectomy, and colectomy and excels in minimally invasive techniques. He has a special interest in endocrine surgery, which includes surgery on the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. With a focus on quality improvement, he is actively involved in committees focused on surgical outcomes and performance. He is employed by Beebe Medical Group and is a member of Beebe Healthcare's Medical Staff.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Dr. Facciolo is board certified in general surgery. He received his Doctorate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012, and completed his General Surgery residency at Christiana Care Health System, in 2017. During his surgical training, he was exposed to all aspects of surgery, but found the intricacies of the endocrine system fascinating and treatment of these disorders to be both fascinating and rewarding. 

Earlier Work Experiences 
During medical school, Dr. Facciolo combined his problem-solving and fine-motor skills to pursue a path to becoming a surgeon. Shortly after completing his residency in 2017, he joined Beebe Medical Group and has worked tirelessly growing the General Surgery program to help meet the needs of the expanding community.

Personal Notes
As a Delaware native, Dr. Facciolo and his wife, Gina, moved to Lewes in 2017. He enjoys the sense of strong community here in Sussex County. He loves living at the beach with his wife and children, and enjoys being outdoors, hunting and fishing, sports, and fitness.
