ABOUT THE PROVIDER

At Beebe Healthcare
Marie-France McIntee, DO, MPH, is a palliative care physician at Beebe Healthcare. She sees patients at Beebe Palliative Care Long Neck, which serves patients in various settings (home, office, and hospital). She also sees patients at Beebe’s Tunnell Cancer Center and South Coastal Cancer Center. Dr. McIntee treats adults who have been diagnosed with serious illness (cancer, heart, lung, kidney or neurological disease). She works with her patients, their families, and their specialists to improve their quality of life. Dr. McIntee has had a lifetime interest in palliative medicine and is thrilled that the completion of her fellowship training aligned with the expansion of Beebe’s Palliative Medicine Program.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Dr. McIntee earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her osteopathic internship at Crozer Keystone Health System, along with her family medicine residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, both in Pennsylvania. Dr. McIntee completed her medical training with a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She also holds a master’s degree in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. McIntee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, Aerospace Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Earlier Work Experiences
Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. McIntee served as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force, rising through ranks and responsibilities before ending her Air Force career as the Chief of Aerospace and Operational Medicine at the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency. She began her medical career as a family physician at Hartsville Medical Practice in Warrington, Pennsylvania.

Personal Interests
A resident of Lewes, Dr. McIntee enjoys hiking, running, biking, kayaking, and camping. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and working on projects around her house. She speaks conversational French.
