Why We Walk
Beebe Healthcare is proud to offer advanced, innovative Cardiovascular care for our community.
As part of our efforts to have a healthy community, we want to provide support and resources for those who have health conditions or those who are concerned about their health.
"I am honored to serve as Chair of the Southern Delaware Heart Walk. Please help us reach our goal of raising $8,000 for this important cause," said Dr. David Tam, Beebe President & CEO. "Proceeds from the Heart Walk will support transformational research as well as important community programs right here in Delaware. I hope you will consider joining us in helping the AHA achieve its mission – which, in turn, may provide us with future support for a spouse, parent, friend, or loved one who has been touched by heart disease or stroke."
To help advance the American Heart Association’s mission of being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, Beebe Healthcare is proud to support the American Heart Association through the 2020 Heart Walk on October 7-10.
For those that prefer an actual walk versus a virtual walk, Team Beebe’s walk will occur on Thursday, October 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Blockhouse Pond where we can practice physical distancing. We are inviting employees to join a team of walkers to support this important initiative, which promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living.
Monies raised by the teams of walkers goes to the American Heart Association, who is now committing $14.5 million to research efforts to better understand the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and clinical management of COVID-19.
