Join us Tuesday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at the Lewes Public Library to learn about Integrative Techniques for Pain Management with Sudhir Rao, MD.

Dr. Rao utilizes multiple modalities to improve overall functionality and quality of life for chronic and acute pain. To ensure positive outcomes, Dr. Rao utilizes medication management, physical and chiropractic therapy, interventional treatments, and/or referrals for surgery. In addition to traditional medicine, he also specializes in holistic and alternative approaches including, but not limited to: acupuncture, lymphatic enhancement therapy, biomat, anti-inflammatory diet, alpha-stim, and platelet-rich plasma therapy. Using this multimodal approach, Dr. Rao offers his patients highly unique and diverse methods for the management of their pain.

Dr. Rao was born and raised in New Jersey. He obtained his Medical Doctorate from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He went on to further specialize in Interventional Pain Medicine as a Fellow at Mt. Sinai College of Medicine. He then worked at Baylor College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in Pain Medicine where he educated fellows and residents.

Dr. Rao has been providing patient care for over a decade, treating his patients and formulating complex treatment paradigms on an on-going basis. His goal is to continue to directly engage his patients to positively impact their overall quality of life and functionality. Dr. Rao also stresses the importance of providing a nurturing and caring environment, evaluating each patient as an individual and treating the mind and body.

His private practice, Pain and Spine Specialists (currently located in Mount Airy, MD), exemplifies his vision of not only positive patient outcomes with reduced pain, but also providing only the utmost patient care and customer service to everyone who comes to the practice. While his practice is currently in Mount Airy Maryland, it will be an opportunity to learn about different modalities and to ask general questions about various techniques.
