Submitted by Rachel on
Beebe Integrative Health will host a conference, entitled “Addressing the Opioid Epidemic: The Role of Integrative Health in the Management of Chronic Pain,” on Saturday, March 4, at Irish Eyes in Lewes.
The conference, in partnership with the Medical Society of Delaware, will bring together integrative health professionals, state health officials, prescribers of pain medications and more health professionals to discuss this urgent issue affecting society and healthcare today.
Karyl Rattay, MD, Director of the Delaware Division of Public Health and Uday Jani, MD, an internist specializing in Functional and Integrative Medicine, will be the keynote speakers. Panels of experienced practitioners will speak on various topics, including massage and body work, chiropractic care, acupuncture, medical marijuana, and strategies to help bridge the gap in patient care.
Be part of the dialogue creating a productive environment for collaboration and networking of community resources regarding effective approaches to help decrease pain and use of prescription pain medicines and, overall, improve quality of life for people living with chronic pain.
