Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing to Hold Open House October 22
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing invites anyone who is interested in entering the rewarding and challenging field of nursing to attend the School’s semi-annual Open House on Thursday, October 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Alison Watson, MSN, RN, Admissions Chairperson, will conduct information sessions every 30 minutes (5:30 last session) to discuss educational opportunities at the School of Nursing for those interested in the two-year, four semester curriculum which begins each August. Representatives from the University of Delaware will also be available to answer questions. The School of Nursing is located behind the Medical Center in Lewes.
The School of Nursing’s program offers comprehensive nursing education, providing education in basic nursing concepts, advanced technology, and critical care nursing. The curriculum includes optimal, hands-on clinical experience that is more accessible due to the proximity of the Medical Center. The new School of Nursing building with state-of-the-art classrooms and simulation labs opened in July of 2015.
Graduates are well prepared for licensure and entry-level nursing practice. Articulation agreements with the University of Delaware and Wilmington University also facilitate the students’ opportunity to obtain a Bachelors Degree. This degree can be obtained in one additional year with Wilmington University or with a completion plan at the University of Delaware.
“I chose the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing because of the outstanding reputation its graduates have,” say Megan VanSant of Middletown. She plans to graduate in the spring of 2016. “The location is extremely convenient for my commute and I immediately felt welcomed by the entire faculty.”
Beth Willing of Georgetown, Delaware, said she chose the School because of the hands-on experience she is able to receive. She also plans to graduate in the spring of 2016. “Because of the small class sizes, I connect with every teacher and learning is fun.”
Pre-requisite college courses are required prior to enrollment in the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing program. For more information and to register for the Open House, please call the School at (302) 645-3251.
